THE REBEL FORCE vs. THE DEATH STAR An Imperial officer reported there were about 30 Rebel ships approaching the DEATH STAR. Below are two tables. The first summarizes the pilots involved in the battle; the second table is for the droids.

The following designations are from dialogue, or surmised after the fact (usually from DECIPHER cards).
RED 1 (Red Leader) - Garven Dreis He made his attack run with Red 10 and Red 11. Did not survive.	RED 2 - Wedge Antilles He made his attack run with Red 3 and Red 5. Survived.	RED 3 - Biggs Darklighter He made his attack run with Red 2 and Red 5. Did not survive.

RED 7 - Elyhek Rue Voice check-in. (Helmet?)	RED 8 - Bren Quersey Not mentioned.	RED 9 - Lt. Naytann Voice check-in. Did not survive. (Seen exploding in movie.)
RED 10 - Theron Nett He made his attack run with Red 1 and Red 11. Did not survive.	RED 11 - Lt. Wenton Chan Voice check-in. Did not survive.	RED 12 - Gil "Drifter" Viray Not mentioned. (Helmet?)
GOLD 1 (Gold Leader) - Jon "Dutch" Vander Did not survive.	GOLD 2 - Tiree Did not survive.	GOLD 3 - Ryle Torsyn Not mentioned.
GOLD 4 - Lt. Lepira Not mentioned. Did not survive. (Helmet?)	GOLD 5 - Davish "Pops" Krail Did not survive.	GOLD 6 - Hal Okand Not mentioned. (This looks like an X-Wing cockpit!)
Only 2 X-Wings and 1 Y-Wing were shown flying away from the Death Star as it exploded. (Oh, and the Millennium Falcon, of course.)
At least 20 pilots are visible in the briefing room prior to the attack. Several pilots are visible in Massassi Temple after the Death Star was destroyed. These pilots must account for the other Rebel ships. Where were they during the attack? What were they doing?

Many other droids are visible in the briefing room prior to the attack. What are their designations? Did they fly in the attack? Which ships did they fly on?
